PhD Candidate - Department of Political Economy, King's College London

Jeevun is an economist who is undertaking PhD research on the political and economic causes of income inequality and poverty, as well as the subsequent impact that income inequality and poverty have on wellbeing, with a special focus on the United Kingdom.

He is also the co-host of Politics JaM, a podcast that analyses topics and the week's news through a political science lens.

Prior to starting his PhD, Jeevun worked as an Economist at the Somaliland Ministry of Finance, HM Treasury and the Department for Work and Pensions, where he advised them on budgeting, macroeconomic policy, inequality, poverty and social security.
