Jennifer Daniel

Jenny was awarded her doctorate in Performance and Cultural Industries/Music in 2016, having held an AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Award, with the University of Leeds and Opera North. Her thesis, entitled 'Democratising Opera: Opera North and the Access Agenda in Action', was highly commended. She has worked for the University of Leeds, for the Institute of Cultural Capital (University of Liverpool/John Moores University) and for the University of Liverpool Department of Music, and is currently Senior Lecturer in Musical Theatre at Edge Hill University, Lancashire.
She has published on opera, music, theatre, ethnography and education, and on the educational, cultural and social work done by the arts and institutions.
