Jennifer Grant works for the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. She is involved in the trainee Probation Office Programme and under-graduate teaching. Jennifer has research interests in sexual offending, Probation practice and Public protection.

Jennifer graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a BSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice. She practiced as a Probation Officer for 7 years and has specialisms in managing offenders subject to public protection measures including those convicted of terrorism and sexual offending, as well as the effective management of young offenders. Jennifer completed her MSc in Criminology & Criminal Justice in 2017 via distance learning with the University of Portsmouth.

She worked in the Ministry of Justice headquarters in project management teams for the youth justice reform programme and then EU exit. Jennifer then returned to Probation in 2019 and spent almost 2 years there as a Senior Probation Officer in Thames Valley.
