Assistant Professor, Faculty of Education, Wilfrid Laurier University

Prior to and during my first years working at the university, I taught elementary school. I started teaching elementary school almost 20 years ago. Since joining the academic system, I have been studying mathematics education, particularly in the area of supporting new teachers. My areas of specialty are around curriculum and content for elementary school teachers. I also have a focus on the beliefs and conceptions that future teachers bring about mathematics to their teacher education programs. I work to stay connected to schools through working with teachers and school boards in areas of mathematics development.
