Jennifer S Simpson

Jennifer S. Simpson is currently the Special Adviser to the President, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Decolonisation (Curriculum Transformation) and a Professor in the School of Professional Communication. Dr. Simpson has extensive teaching, research, and administrative experience in the areas of equity, racism and colonialism, the obligations of universities to the public good, critical theory and pedagogy, and communication. Past administrative appointments include the roles of Chair and Associate Dean at the University of Waterloo; Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Memorial University; and Provost and Vice-President Academic at Toronto Metropolitan University.
