Professor of Freshwater Ecology, Monash University

Professor Jenny Davis has worked on the ecology of wetlands and waterways, mainly in central Australia and Western Australia ,for 25+ years. A major theme of her research is to determine the critical processes that support the persistence of inland aquatic ecosystems and their biota. She recently lead a collaborative project, involving researchers in SA, WA, Qld, the NT and Victoria, to develop guidelines for climate change adaptation planning for arid zone aquatic ecosystems and freshwater biodiversity.
