Jerry Zolten is an educator, author, producer and fanatic collector of rare records. An Associate Professor at Penn State Altoona, he is the author of Great God A'Mighty! The Dixie Hummingbirds/Celebrating the Rise of Soul Gospel Music (Oxford University Press), and the producer of sound recordings by the Fairfield Four and Isaac Freeman.
His recent projects include Chimpin' the Blues (East River Records), a compilation of rare 78 rpm records and conversation with cartoonist Robert Crumb, website content development for the C.F. Martin Guitar Company, and contributor to The Rise and Fall of Paramount Records, Volumes 1 & 2 (Revenant Records/Third Man Records).
