Jo Hawkins is a PhD candidate at the University of Western Australia in the discipline of History. Her thesis investigates the Anzac Legend and Australian national identity through the lens of consumer culture. Jo’s research interests centre on history, memory and the marketplace and her journal article, '"What better excuse for a real adventure?": History, memory and tourism on the Kokoda Track', appears in the latest volume of the Public History Review.
