Jo Thomson

Jo Thomson is an archaeologist and cultural heritage consultant with over 20 years experience in First Nations archaeology and heritage management in Western Australia. Jo is in the final stages of completing a PhD at the University of Western Australia examining the process through which value is ascribed to First Nation archaeological places. This has involved analysis of the wider heritage management industry, legislation and supporting systems. Jo is also the Chairperson of the WA Chapter of the Australian Association of Consulting Archaeologists Incorporated (AACAI) and is a member of the Australia ICOMOS Indigenous Heritage Reference Group.
