Senior Research Associate, Geospatial Innovation in the Digital Humanities, Lancaster University

My research specialism is literature and culture of the long nineteenth century, particularly Romantic poetry and environmental history. My work explores how texts from this era engage with phenomenologies of space and place, literary geographies and developments in ecological thinking. I am particularly interested in how digital techniques - particularly digital cartographies, including GIS and virtual globes - can facilitate the discussion, presentation and development of humanities study.
