Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Psychology, The University of Melbourne

Joanna is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne and an Honorary Fellow at the Centre for Adolescent Health, Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. Joanna was awarded her PhD in Psychology from the University of Melbourne investigating cardiovascular risk in depressed adolescents. Her major research interests include adolescent sleep, heart, and mental health. She is particularly interested in community work focusing around prevention and intervention of psychological problems. This lead to her postdoctoral work focused on changing sleep patterns to prevent depression in adolescents in the general community. Joanna is currently working with the Outdoor Youth Programs Research Alliance (OYPRA) looking into the health and wellbeing benefits of outdoor programs for youth.
