Joël Hirschi

My work focusses on the dynamics of ocean currents and links to weather and climate. I have a particular interest in the Atlantic meridional overturning circulation (AMOC). Using numerical models and observations I study the AMOC variability and try to understand its impacts on the atmospheric circulation on the North Atlantic region and beyond.
