John Arnold is a research fellow working with the Insititute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine/NIHR Musculoskeletal Biomedical Research Centre in Leeds, UK and ARENA in the Sansom Institute of Health Research, Adelaide. He currently holds a National Health & Medical Research Council of Australia CJ Martin Early Career Fellowship (2017-2021). John has clinical and research expertise in musculoskeletal disorders of the foot and lower limb, with skills and expertise spanning clinical and laboratory-based studies, to involvement in large scale epidemiological analyses and systematic reviews. All of these are directed toward understanding the causes of foot and lower limb disorders (particularly osteoarthritis) and the effect of conservative and surgical interventions, to ultimately improve patient care and outcomes.
