My specialism is bereavement counselling: practice and research. I completed my PhD thesis in 2017, on the assimilation analysis of the counselling sessions of bereaved clients. I am author of "Supporting People in Loss and Grief: An introduction for counsellors and other caring practitioners." 2014, London, Jessica Kingsley Publishers. I deliver a bereavement workshop annually at Hull and York Medical School. As an Honorary Fellow at York St John University, I am currently researching the relationship between attachment style and grief trajectory in bereaved adults.
