John Humphrey

John Humphrey is Professorial Fellow at the Institute of Development Studies.

He has an inter-disciplinary background in sociology and economics. He has 25 years experience in research, research management and teaching in development studies. He is a member of the Globalisation Team at IDS, where he has been working on value chain approaches to maximising the contributions that businesses can make to reducing undernutrition in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.

The IDS' new Business and Development centre launches in March 2014.
