I am a senior lecturer in counselling and psychotherapy and a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) senior accredited counsellor and clinical supervisor. I hold post-graduate qualifications in counselling, teaching and forensic sexology. I have practised as a counsellor for twenty years and have ten years experience working with high-risk sexual offenders for the National Probation Service and with sexually aggressive teenagers excluded from mainstream education. I am currently the programme leader for BSc (Hons) Critical Approaches to Counselling and Psychotherapy in the Faculty of Health and Social Care at Edge Hill University.
