My research interests lie in the syntax of languages. Particular areas include ellipsis and sluicing, which I have extensively analysed for the Madurese language. I also work on question formation.

My current research is on Tokelauan, an endangered Polynesian language. I am writing my PhD thesis on the word order variations of this language, as well as other syntactic phenomena that relate.
