- Inertial confinement fusion (ICF)

- Radiation hydrodynamics
- Hohlraum modelling
- Shock waves and implosion hydrodynamics
- The physics of ignition and thermonuclear burn.

I am a supervisor on the FUSION CDT, a collaboration between the universities of Durham, Liverpool, Manchester, Oxford and York.

I am a visiting academic at Imperial College London.
