Jon M Jachimowicz

PhD Candidate in Management, Columbia University

My primary aim is to understand how to support people to unleash their passion. In my research, I seek to find answers to questions such as: What are the positive and negative consequences of passion (for work)? Why do people fall out of passion, and how do they regain it? What is the relationship between passion for work, and passion outside of work? How is passion perceived by others?

If you are currently struggling to be more passionate, have just fallen out of passion, maintain high levels of passion, or simply want to talk about passion, please feel free to reach out to me because I'd love to learn from you.

My other research investigates: (a) the impact of work-related non-work behavior (e.g. commuting, distractions); (b) how people make decisions, especially how to design environments that help align people's intentions with their behavior.
