Principal Lecturer in Supply Chain Management and Deputy Head of Department of Management, Sheffield Hallam University

Dr Jonathan Gorst is Deputy Head of the Department of Management, Sheffield Business School, where he lectures in the areas of Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Quality Management. Jonathan's personal research is in the area of Reverse Logistics. He has been researching this area for the last fifteen years and in recent years this has been focused on Retail Returns and the implications of Omni Channel Shopping.

His current work focuses on a Reverse Logistics Tool Kit which has been developed to aid companies assess their current Reverse Logistics processes and target where they can make improvements. Jonathan is part of the Reverse Logistics Research Group which brings together colleagues from the Universities of Sheffield Hallam, Sheffield, and Cranfield to develop and carry out further research in the area of reverse logistics. Jonathan is also an active member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport’s (CILT) and is co-chair of the Retail, Food and Reverse Logistics Forum.
