Jonathan Brauer is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at Indiana University Bloomington. His research involves testing theories about causes and consequences of norm-violating behaviors. He also routinely collects and analyzes survey data from local and international settings to examine whether theoretical processes operate similarly across diverse social contexts. His research has been published in various interdisciplinary outlets, including Criminology, Journal of Research on Adolescence, Justice Quarterly, and Social Science Research. He is currently examining how coercive experiences affect cognition, decision-making, and deviant behaviors.
