Joseph Ato Forson

Lecturer of Applied Finance and Policy Management, University of Education, Winneba

Joseph Ato Forson is a Lecturer at the School of Business Education of the University of Education Winneba (UEW). Forson started his teaching career as a pupil teacher and was employed in one of the private schools under Pentecost Social Services (PENTSOS) in the early 2000s, where he taught in one of its branches in Kasoa. He’s also had stints with Regent University College of Science and Technology (RUCST) and GIMPA as a lecturer and an Adjunct Lecturer respectively. In both institutions, he was at the Business School. At Regent University College, he doubled as the Acting Head of Department of Management Studies.

Forson is of the view that young scholars should build a vast portfolio of knowledge from the outset of their career and narrow down as they progress. As a result, he’s been an ardent follower of liberal Arts education in contemporary times. With this motivation, Forson has published in a wide array of research areas and has had his research outputs in peer-reviewed journals indexed and abstracted in Elsevier SCOPUS and Web of Science (SSCI) with household publishers like Wiley, Springer Nature, Emerald Insight, Routledge Taylor and Francis etc. Notable journals among these group of publishers are World Journal of Entrepreneurship, Management and Sustainable Development, South Africa Journal of Economic and Management Sciences, South African Journal of Economics, Global Social Welfare, Contemporary Economics, International Journal of Educational Management and African Journal of Science, Technology, Innovation and Development. Forson is a member of the chartered Institute of Development Finance (CIDEF).
