Me licencié en 2007 e hice mi tesis en el ámbito de la neurociencia. Al finalizar mi tesis realicé mi postdoc en el Instituto Karolinska de Suecia, estudiando cómo la información visual se transforma en respuestas motoras y cómo el sistema dopaminérgico modula estas respuestas. En 2019 obtuve una beca inicial del Consejo de Investigación Sueco para comenzar mi propio grupo de investigación como Assistant Professor en el Instituto Karolinska. Poco después, también en 2019, recibí una ayuda Ramón y Cajal, por lo que decidí trasladarme al Centro de Investigaciones Biomédicas (CINBIO) de la Universidad de Vigo, donde inicié mi grupo Neurocircuits. También imparto clases en el Departamento de Biología Funcional y Ciencias de la Salud.
