Judith Singleton

Since completing a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Queensland, Judith has worked in community pharmacies as well as public and private hospitals both in Australia and in the UK. She owned two community pharmacies in Queensland before selling them to take up a position with Medication Services Queensland, Queensland Health whilst lecturing part-time in the School of Pharmacy, University of Queensland. After three years at Queensland Health, she left in 2012 to take up a full time academic position in the School of Pharmacy, University of Queensland before accepting a position in 2015 at Queensland University of Technology. Judith has an MBA (Hons) from Griffith University and is currently completing her PhD at Queensland University of Technology.

Judith was the 2006 recipient of the Australian College of Pharmacy Practice and Management Chairman's Award and in 2011 was the winner (as part of a team from Medication Services Qld, Qld Health) for Category: 'Skilling for the Future: Innovative Skills and System Development Category' for a large body of work aimed to improve the competency and professional development and training needs of the pharmacy assistant/technician workforce in Qld Health facilities. Judith was also the 2011 recipient of the Griffith University MBA Director's Citizenship Award.

Professional role: Judith has been a Branch Committee member of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia (Queensland) and has sat on the Panel of Assessors, Health Practitioner Panels, Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal from 2010-2014.
