I have a broad interest in applying evolutionary and behavioral ecology research to conservation and management problems. This has predominately involved research on avian systems, including understanding behavioral thermoregulatory adaptation in a wetland context and more recently, management of emus in urbanizing areas. I completed my Ph.D. on male reproductive success in emus in 2020 and have since been helping governmental bodies in determining the best practice management of emus across the east coast of Australia, where they are known to be disappearing.
