Julie Dearden

Julie Dearden is Senior Research and Development Fellow in English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) and Manager of EMI Oxford. EMI Oxford is Oxford University's new research centre into English as a Medium of Instruction. She is a member of the Applied Linguistics research group at the Department of Education at Oxford and is working on a project to scope the size and shape of English used as a Medium of Instruction globally and is particularly interested in Teachers' Views on EMI. After the global research study in 55 countries Julie will be carrying out an online global study of teachers' views with EMI Oxford and the British Council.
