Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning), School of Science, Edith Cowan University

I have been a lecturer at Edith Cowan University since 2002. I have taught a broad range of courses, focusing on web technologies. While completing a PhD thesis looking at e-learning technologies, my main area of research is now digital accessibility. As a person with a lived experience of disability since childhood, I am passionate about the marriage of web technologies with assistive technologies in a way that allows all people to access the potential of the web, equally. This is particularly relevant to tertiary education, as equal access to a university qualification is the key to allowing people with disabilities to participate in society on equal terms.
