Juwaeriah Siddiqui

Juwaeriah Siddiqui is a Ph.D. Candidate in Applied Linguistics and Discourse Studies at Carleton University. Her area of expertise is exploring the dynamic motivation of second language learners of Arabic, specifically children, and developing a trajectory of their language learning experiences. Her research focuses on constructing the social reality of children by placing their opinions and experiences at the center of the research design. Juwaeriah has been a teaching assistant with the Childhood and Youth Studies department at Carleton University for the past three years and is a member of the International Association of Psychology of Language Learning. (IAPLL) wherein she actively organizes workshops and events at the intersection of language learning and complexity theory.
