Post Doctoral Researcher, Landscape Sociology Group, The University of Melbourne

Dr Karen Reid is an ethnographic researcher in the Landscape Sociology Group of the Melbourne School of Land and Environment. Principally, she studies the construction of local ecological knowledge and how it is used to manage the landscape. She has a continuing interest in social understanding of bushfire and recently completed a research fellowship funded by the Bushfire Co-operative Research Centre.
