CO2Chem Network Manager, University of Sheffield

I am the CO2Chem Network Manager based at the University of Sheffield. I have a B.Eng in Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of Sheffield (2000) and am currently studying part-time for a PhD in life cycle and techno-economic assessment of carbon dioxide utilisation processes. I have been managing the CO2Chem network since its creation in 2010 and am a member of the management group.

CO2Chem advocates, and promotes and stimulates research in an emerging technology, Carbon Dioxide Utilization (CDU). The CO2Chem network promotes the utilization of carbon dioxide as a commodity chemical, rather than considering it as a waste.Since its start I have overseen the networks growth from 100 to 800 members and its development into the largest international network in carbon dioxide utilisation.

I have written a number of papers on the subject of CO2 Utilisation and was one of the authors of the book 'Carbon Capture and Utilisation in the green economy: Using CO2 to manufacture fuel, chemicals and materials' published in 2011.
