As Associate Head of School for Education I have overall responsibility for Initial Teacher Education programmes at York St John University.
I teach on the Professional Studies modules on postgraduate programmes and this is supported by my research interests related to education policy. I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and am currently completing a PhD.
Before joining York St John University my professional background in the UK included eighteen years of teaching and leadership in state secondary schools. I have also worked in Australia within Higher Education as a teacher educator, building upon my experience of working with a range of teacher education programmes in the UK.
