Kenneth Morrison

Professor of Modern South-East European History, De Montfort University

Professor Morrison specialises in Balkan and Eastern European politics and history, with an emphasis on the states of the former Yugoslavia.

He is the author of Montenegro: A Modern History (2009), Sarajevo’s Holiday Inn: On the Frontline of Politics and War ((2016), Nationalism, Identity and Statehood in Post-Yugoslav Montenegro (2017) and, with Elizabeth Roberts, The Sandzak: A History (2013).

In August 2017 he was appointed Specialist Adviser to the House of Lords International Relations Select Committee for their ‘Beyond Brexit: UK and the Balkans’ inquiry.
