Senior Lecturer of Media Studies (Cinema Studies), Penn State

Kevin Hagopian has been teaching cinema studies and media studies at Penn State for more than 15 years. Before joining the Penn State faculty, Hagopian served as a senior analyst for Kenny and Associates Inc., a national corporate communications consulting firm, and editor of the Film Literature Index for the State University of New York Research Foundation. He taught for several years at the University of Memphis, where he won the first-ever Thomas W. Briggs Foundation Award for distinguished teaching. He recently won the Deans Award for Excellence in Teaching at Penn State.

His writing on film has appeared in academic journals and daily newspapers, and online. He has been quoted as an expert on film and the film industries by NPR, and by publications such as the Boston Globe, Dallas Morning News, Christian Science Monitor, CNBC, The Washington Post and by the French television network Canal Plus.
