Dr. Kiril Tochkov is an Associate Professor of Economics at Texas Christian University. A native of Bulgaria, he studied Chinese and Economics at Ruprecht Karls University in Heidelberg, Germany, and at Beijing Foreign Studies University in China. He received a Ph.D. in Economics from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 2005.
Dr. Tochkov's research focuses on economic growth, regional macroeconomics, productivity, and efficiency. He is particularly interested in the economy of China and other emerging and transition economies. His publications have appeared, among others, in Economics of Transition, Journal of Macroeconomics, and China Economic Review.
At Texas Christian University, Dr. Tochkov regularly teaches classes in Macroeconomics, Econometrics, and Asian Economics.
