Koen Vlassenroot

Koen Vlassenroot is professor in political and social sciences at the Department for Conflict and Development Studies, Ghent University (Belgium), where he leads the Conflict Research Group. He is an expert in the analysis of conflict in Central Africa, with specific attention to governance, aremd groups, access to justice and security, and the management of natural resources. He is involved in a number of research projects focusing on armed mobilization, public authority and state building.
