Kostas Selviaridis is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Operations Management at the Department of Management Science, Lancaster University Management School, UK. His current research focusses on public contracting and its role in promoting innovation, resilience and sustainability goals in supply chains.
Kostas is a Co-Investigator and the Lead researcher for Lancaster University's participation in the MIA ("Measures for Improved Availability of medicines and vaccines") project. This is an international study, funded by the Research Council of Norway, seeking to identify and evidence cost-effective measures to sustainably reduce drug shortages, and to help build resilient medicine supply chains.
Kostas' engaged research with numerous public sector organisations and companies is internationally recognised and has attracted funding from multiple sources. His work has been published in leading international outlets including the Journal of Supply Chain Management, Research Policy, and Decision Sciences. Kostas is currently serving as an Associate Editor in the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management.
