Lathifah Hanum, usually called Hanum, graduated as a Clinical Psychologist from the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Indonesia. Since 2013, she has worked as a Lecturer at her alma mater. As a psychologist and a researcher, Hanum's primary interest is Geropsychology. Since 2011, she has worked in the field and produced many publications and psychological intervention modules to help older people maintain their mental health in old age. Together with her team, she also built an instrument to measure the psychological well-being of older Indonesian people. Despite her interest in this field, she also has a big urge to develop a better learning environment system for her students. Therefore, she has produced many learning videos to help her students' learning process, especially in the pandemic era.
Currently, she is a PhD Student at the School of Psychology, The University of Queensland, Australia. Her PhD project is a relationship dynamic between Indonesian older people and adult children who engage in intergenerational co-residence. She aims to evaluate the influential factors of intergenerational co-residence from older people's and adult children's perspectives. In addition, she also plans to build an instrument to measure the relationship dynamic between older people and adult children and develop a psychological intervention to help both generations maintain their relationships.
