Lau Caspar Thygesen

Public health researcher and professor in epidemiology at the National Institute of Public Health in Denmark. His main research focus is on methodological issues when using large-scale registers and surveys and he has focused on many common diseases as cancer, heart disease, multiple sclerosis and intestinal diseases and also life-style factors and mental health. He is interested in primary, secondary and tertiary prevention. Furthermore, he has been active in research policy including chairing the Danish Epidemiology Society and several board memberships.
