PhD student in Economics, Columbia University

Laura Caron is a PhD student in Economics at Columbia University and a recent graduate of Georgetown University. She is co-author of a recent journal article on migration and mental health in Mexico (with Katharine Donato), chapters of a World Bank report on migration in South Asia, and a systematic review of the labor market integration of refugees and IDPs. She is currently at work on papers on the impacts of migration costs on remittance flows, as well as the interactions between environmental degradation and the decision to migrate.
