Lee McGowan

Lee is currently developing a research project on the History of Women's Football in Queensland; Arts Queensland, QUT, Football Queensland and the State Library of Queensland have supported the project.

He's written two books: Never Say Die: the hundred year overnight success of women's football (NewSouth 2019) and Football in Fiction: a history (Routledge 2020).

Besides the history, development and contemporary state of play in different forms of football, his research interests include digital writing, locative literature and other forms of storytelling.
