Before joining The Conversation France in 2014, Leighton co-founded Journalist's Resource, a Harvard Kennedy School project where he served as managing editor and research editor. He was also film editor at the Boston Globe for seven years, deputy managing editor of the San Francisco Bay Guardian for eight years, and has worked in several other media outlets in the United States.
