Leila Alexandra is a research assistant in the Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences at the University of Melbourne. She works on the Foodprint Melbourne project, which investigates the resilience of Melbourne food system to shocks and stresses.
Leila’s Honours in Environmental Science from the Australian National University identified leverage in social-ecological poverty traps, using an Ethiopian case study. Leila is interested in social-ecological perspectives on food and agricultural systems, and has worked in sustainability education, social enterprises and farming.
