Leon Peto

I'm a Clinical Research Fellow in the Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) at the University of Oxford, and an honorary consultant in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust. I did my specialist training in Oxford, and during this did a PhD looking at the impact of antibiotics on the gut microbiome. I joined NDPH in late 2020 to work on the RECOVERY trial, which is testing treatments for patients admitted to hospital with COVID-19.
