Professor of Agriculture, University of Sydney

Les Copeland is an agricultural biochemist with interests in grain and food science. He graduated with BSc and PhD degrees from the University of Sydney and has held research positions at Yale University, and the Universities of Buffalo and California (Davis) in the USA. Les is a member of the Research Advisory Committee of the Australian Farm Institute, Foundation Editor of the journal Agriculture, President of the University of Sydney Association of Professors, and a Research Integrity Advisor of the University of Sydney. He is a Fulbright Alumnus and a former Faculty Dean, and he was the Foundation President of the Australian Council of Deans of Agriculture. He was awarded the American Association of Cereal Chemists-International 2014 Excellence in Teaching Award.
