Ecology PhD researcher, Queen Mary University of London

I’m a NERC PhD student at Queen Mary University of London, in collaboration with ZSL’s Institute of Zoology and the University of Campinas in Brazil. My current research focusses on the connectivity between freshwater and forest communities, and why this is important in an increasingly fragmented natural world.

My PhD is taking a broad, integrative approach to examining whole species assemblages across aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems in both tropical and temperate environments. In a similar holistic vein, I’m also personally interested in how the arts and humanities should be used in combination with science to tackle environmental issues.
