Honorary Senior Fellow, Australian National University

Liz Hanna is an Honorary Senior Fellow at the Australian National University Climate Change Institute. Dr Hanna’s is President of the Climate and Health Alliance, a Fellow of the Public Health Association of Australia (PHAA), and also the Australian College of Nursing. She is also the Key Contact for Climate Change for the Australian College of Nursing. She swapped a clinical career in in Intensive Care to health protection, environmental health and climate change, and convened the National Climate Change Adaptation Research Network for Human Health. Her research interest spans climate impacts on human health, adaptation options and strategies to boost community resilience and health sector preparedness, with a specific focus on heat exposures and disasters.
