Senior Research Fellow, Department of Religious Studies, University of Kent

Lois Lee is Senior Research Fellow in Religious Studies at the University of Kent, and Principal Investigator on the Understanding Unbelief programme. Her research centres on worldviews and existentiality in modernity, focusing on nonreligious populations. Her books include Recognizing the Non-religious: Reimagining the Secular (OUP, 2015), the Oxford Dictionary of Atheism (2016, with Stephen Bullivant), and the co-edited volumes Secularity & Non-religion (Routledge, 2015) and Negotiating Religion: Cross-disciplinary Perspectives (Routledge, 2017).

She is a director the Nonreligion and Secularity Research Network (NSRN), and was a founding editor of the journal, Secularism and Nonreligion (S&N).
