Lorenz Graf-Vlachy

Dr. Lorenz Graf-Vlachy is Senior Research Fellow at ESCP Business School and Professor of Strategic Management and Leadership at TU Dortmund University.

His work was published in premier scientific outlets such as Organization Science, the Journal of Management, the Journal of Product Innovation Management or the Academy of Management Review. He is an editorial board member of Management Review Quarterly and has won awards for research, teaching, and reviewing.

Prior to his academic career, he spent more than seven years with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Munich, most recently as a Project Leader. He also served as an advisor to the World Economic Forum (WEF). Additional prior work experience includes positions in Germany, China, and the U.S. at McKinsey & Company, various IT companies, and a publishing house.

Lorenz Graf-Vlachy holds a master's level degree in Information Systems and a doctorate in Strategic Management from Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg. He also studied in Indiana University's MBA program and at Tongji University in Shanghai. He was a Visiting Fellow at Harvard University, a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University and The Pennsylvania State University, and an Affiliated Research Fellow at IMD International in Lausanne.
