Senior Lecturer in Critical Human Geography, University of Leeds

I am a Senior Lecturer in Critical Human Geography at the School of Geography, University of Leeds. My research interests span migration, citizenship and belonging; with a particular focus on unfree/forced labour and exploitative work among asylum seekers and refugees in the UK. I have publications in a range of peer reviewed journals including Geoforum, Antipode, International Migration, Social and Cultural Geography, Emotion, Space and Society, Geography Compass, Gender, Place and Culture, Poverty and Social Justice; a forthcoming article in Progress in Human Geography (on ‘hyper-precarity’) and a forthcoming book (‘Precarious lives: forced labour, exploitation and asylum’) with Policy Press from our recent ESRC Precarious Lives study on experiences of forced labour among refugees and asylum seekers http://precariouslives.org.uk.
