PhD Student, University of Sydney

Magda Guglielmo is currently a doctoral candidate at University of Sydney.
Her research focuses on the interactions between galaxies with particular attention on those galaxies close to our own Milky Way.

In particular, Magda is studying the orbital history of the Magellanic Clouds, two massive galaxies so close to us that they can be seen by naked eyes in the Southern Hemisphere. By combining new and novel statistical techniques with N-Body simulations, Magda is tracing the origin of the Magellanic Clouds back in the past, to reveal the secrets of their interactions with the Milky Way.
